Paisley Fit and Flare Dress DIY

I still have paisley on the brain and found this cotton quilting fabric at Joann's.  This particular print isn't what I had in mind as my holy grail paisley, but I do like it.  I decided to "Frankenstein" some patterns together to get this particular look with a high funnel neck, fitted bodice and flared skirt.

Do you think a necklace can be worn with a funnel neckline?

    1. Thanks Amber! I like the general silhouette of them but they don't seem very necklace friendly. I rather like necklaces so I'm a bit torn about them.

  10. I think a necklace would look good unless it blended into the paisley :) Another great job SPG :)

    1. Thanks Katherine! I sometimes get stuck on what stands out in person vs. on camera. I loved the tassel necklace in the mirror but it gets lost in the photo.

  15. I've never seen paisley look like this before and I like it better than the traditional look. I think the patterns looks great on your frame (just the right size for it, actually)and the color compliments your skin beautifully. I like unique details on clothes so the funnel neck is a great touch.

P.S - This dress requires a collar necklace. The dainty tassel is dwarfed by the print/high neck.

P.S2 - thank you for the Tillary link ($100 is a fantastic price) but the colors don't cooperate with my closet (really, I looked. Hard). I'm actually stalking the leather version :D

  18. I think gone sort of chain braided necklace or bracelet that matches/,compliments the under tones of the dress, bag or the shoes would be classy and stand out.
