Ruffle Neck Sleeveless Top DIY

This is an oldie but goodie :)  I made this early on in my sewing "career" and it's one of my favorites.  I love the dramatic collar and how it makes a bad-hair-ponytail-day special.  I'm thinking of recreating this in a steel gray color.  Any interest in a tutorial for this?

More pics after the jump...

  1. It looks fantastic! I can totally picture the same dress form on display in a store! Definitely post tutorial if you decide to make it in another color!

  2. I agree... Gorgeous statement piece and looks really professional!

How long have you been sewing / DIY-ing? I'd describe myself as very new to it (I've made a couple of very basic dancing costumes and a few cushion covers (without zips of course - they still scare me!)... So all basically straight line sewing!)

I'm rather envious that this is some of your "earlier" work... You're incredibly creative!

  3. Thanks PetiteXXS and Little_Mz! I'll definitely post a tut when I make the gray one :)

Little_Mz - I've been sewing since spring and making some jewelry since summer. It really started when I was at the tail end of maternity leave and feeling like I wanted something else to do besides being all baby all the time.
