PFC #16: Summer Wedding (Under $100)

This month's Petite Fashion Challenge is hosted by Lauren of Petite on a Penny.  Don't forget to check out the other entries on her blog!

The Challenge
Summer Wedding: Create an outfit for a summer wedding (the dress code is up to you). For bonus points, try to make your whole outfit, head to toe, come in under $100!

As you may or may not know, I'm a deal hunter through and through so I was rather excited about this challenge.  I didn't use any of my DIY dresses here since sewing materials are rather inexpensive and would automatically lower the overall price.

My favorite part about this particular ensemble is that it incorporates a little bit of neon to amp it up.
All above items (except the ring) are old and no longer available online.
Dashes of Purple Crystal Ring, T + J Designs, (buy here)

  5. Yup, I'm definitely a deal hunter! I don't often buy things at full retail price, but sometimes it's worth it for something that is extraordinarily beautiful or flattering.

I'm so impressed with your budget-friendly finds in this post! I especially love that H&M maxi dress, and I would've never guessed that you picked it up for a mere $7! Awesome job.

  19. Oh my gosh, the dress has a double effect thing - from afar it looks like a night/cocktail dress with sequins. But up close they are actually polka dots! So cool!

I am eyeing that H&M maxi dress of yours. love it! Actually, if I hadn't posted my previous maxi dress unaltered, I would totally wear that with a beach wedding assumption. It really does make us dwarfies look taller right?

  20. a full on shot of that wedding ring of yours. LOVE! i want a round cut too.

anyways, my favorite outfit is the maxi actually. i feel the neckline is bordering fancy so i'd wear it to a wedding.

  22. I heart The Limited dress on you! The colors with the abstract-y print is gorgeous.

Is a part-time wannabe deal hunter an option? :) Sometimes I say to myself, "this is too much work to hunt down a cheaper item" and I'll buy the one I'm eyeing at full price. Or other times I'll only get an "okay" deal. In fact, I don't think I've ever gotten more than 5 ah-mazing deals in my life. I need to learn from you pros!
