A signature logo details a weather-ready rain boot updated with a chic wedge heel.
- Removable insole.
- Approx. heel height: 3 1/4".
- Approx. boot shaft height: 9 1/4"; 13" calf circumference. Narrow calf.
Likes:
- The wedge heel is a nice touch and something that was lacking from my Tall Wellington boots
- Like the Talls, these are SUPER COMFY
- The calf is definitely more narrow than the Talls but can easily accommodate thick socks / skinny jeans / tights / leggings (for reference, my calves are short and stocky)
- Love the "H" detail on the sides of the boots - it's cute without being in your face
Dislikes:
- I'm not sure about how I feel about the gloss but it's not too big of a deal
- I'm still trying to figure out what exactly to wear with it. I'll wait until post pregnancy to experiment since I'm a little limited presently on what I can wear - especially in the skinnies / tights / leggings area
Overall: A definite keeper! Anything comfy with a heel in boot form (esp. since it was on sale) is a welcome addition to my little cast of shoes. What would you wear with these boots?
Blogiversary - What I've Learned This Year:
- How not to appear yellow in my pictures :) Sheesh, lighting is important.
- How showing some knee is not evil! Prior to blogging, I had always believed that all dress / skirt hems HAD to fall below my knee.
- How awesome the blogger / bloggee community is. I love the feeling of camaraderie and community I get from each and every one of you - THANK YOU!
- How to incorporate some color and stray away from my Black / White / Gray / Navy color palette
- That I don't have to be matchy-matchy to look put together

Congrats on one year =) I am so glad that I get to know you. I am still trying to figure out the right lighting for my blog photos every day. It's not easy especially with outdoor photos. I can't wait to see how you style those boots.
ReplyDeleteThose boots look very cute. I like how you wore them with thick socks underneath. Yay to the one year blogiversery!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!! I like how you bunched up the knee high? socks just where your boots end. Gonna try that this fall :)
ReplyDeleteAw, congrats on your blogiversary! Time flies, I feel like I've been reading SPG for a while, hearing all about your little boy who likes to watch YouTube videos, and then about your pregnancy with another little one : ) I love this community as well.
ReplyDeleteTime does fly! huh, I don't think I read your first post (probably didn't find out about your blog yet then, but glad i did! cause you do have the best DIY's and awesome shopping finds.) These wedges look super comfy and I love the height it gives. I'm imagining these would look hot with leggings/jeggings and...something with leather jacket?

Congrats on the blogaversary! (first time hearing this word, lol)
ReplyDeleteHappy blogiversary! I recently "celebrated" mine too...so happy to have discovered this wonderful community. :D
ReplyDeleteHappy one year, SPG!!! Time flies by way too fast when you're having fun. I'm so lucky to have met you this past year :)
ReplyDeleteI think the gloss on the rainboots will dull over time as you wear it out, so hopefully that won't deter you from keeping them. I have the hardest time figuring out what to wear with rainboots too lol. I've tried a couple outfits that left me scratching my head b/c I should have swapped them out for more "normal" shoes. I think the key might be to hold an umbrella in your hand while taking outfits with rainboots -- makes it look less out of place, haha.
My breakfast wasn't only an egg white, but the picture and the sun in it made it appear white.
ReplyDeleteAww, seriously congrats on your one year. I'd like to reach across the internet to give you a hug.
Happy blogiversary. Girl, I actually read your blog before I have a blog and I remembered that I emailed you before. I am stucked to your blog after the post on chain trim cardigan as I feel like you are so talented. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on one year and the boots look gorgeous!
awww, congrats SPG! you have a very lovely and informative blog going, so cheers to many more anniversaries in the future :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 1 year blogiversary! I think this may be exactly what I need for winter this year...I like the wedge on these boots and also the inside lining! I had no idea hunter made wedge boots, thank you for introducing them to me!
ReplyDeleteAww congrats! Time sure flies, doesn't it? : ) I love the wedge rainboots! I think the gloss is something I would rethink, but overall, it's a really good purchase!
ReplyDeleteaww congrats on your 1 blog-aversary!
ReplyDeletethose hunter wedges are SO CUTE!! i don't think i've ever seen anything like that before! i think those would be so cute in the fall with a plaid wool skirt hehe
Happy blogiversay! I see those boots matching very well with almost everything, like a skirt or skinny maternity pants!

Happy blogging anniversary! It's been great to have your DIY projects and style on the web!
ReplyDeleteThe boots look great on your legs. It's a good thing you posted the review because I've always wondered what heeled rain boots would look like. It's a bit of an odd concept to have a wedge on a rain boot but I'm warming up to the idea.
Happy blogiversary!! We are practically blog birthday buddies, as my 1 year was aug.24!
ReplyDeleteThose boots look phenomenal on you :)
Happy 1 year Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteI love the things you've learnt list, some are still on my list to learn also.:) Will you be disappointed with me if I tell you that I bought the Hunters Wellies Tall last year and returned them because they were to heavy for me :)

ReplyDeleteA beautiful blog! I wanted to ask you if you would be able to shed some light on the actual foot sizing of hunter boots? Typically, I'm a size 6, but as there are now only size 5's left on the Nordstrom's website, I wonder if 5 would suffice or be too small? Thanks kindly!
ReplyDeletep.s. you're absolutely glowing and radiant in your pics. I hope the pregnancy is going well!
Hello Naka - Thanks! I was so intrigued by a heeled rainboot combo :)
ReplyDeleteJewelsss - Thanks so much for your kind words! I typically wear a size 8.5 in shoes and bought both size 8 and 9. The 8 fit but I couldn't wear thick socks with it so I kept the 9 instead. I think this boot pretty much runs true to size - I hope you can find them in a size 6!
