Today's OOTD is what I'm calling a backwards peacock. Why? I'm using peacock feathers that have been dyed a beautiful wheat color in a DIY necklace paired with a teal shell from LOFT. I am in love with these feathers!
Top: LOFT Tiered Shell, Teal
Necklace: DIY Trio of Peacock Feathers
Skirt: Banana Republic, White
Shoes: Frye Joy Vintage Slide (buy here)
I forgot to take a baby bump progress pic but trust me when I say it's definitely there! :D

Oooh, peacock feather necklace? SPG, you look so boho chic today. I'm guessing your area was blessed with nice weather as well?
ReplyDeletePS - You are the hot Twitter topic this evening with your wonderful necklaces :) Hint hint, we would love it if you would join the all-consuming craze that is Twittering :)

ReplyDeletewhat a neat idea! the teal colored shirt matches wonderfully with the brown feathers.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors! I love the feathers with that teal!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ping, those would make cool earrings! For some reason I thought it was a pair of earrings and a "pendant" necklace. I should pay better attention to details. That's a great shell!
ReplyDeleteCome check out my A-to-Z!

The peacock feathers look really pretty and soft. I wish I could touch them. I'm also a fan of the color.
ReplyDeleteCee - Thanks! I actually wore it with a wheat-colored crop jacket but it seemed to make the outfit look a little clunky so I snapped the pictures sans jacket :) I'm not hip enough to join Twitter - I am just too clueless. Maybe when I found out what's going on LOL.
ReplyDeletePing - I can actually really see you wearing these as earrings!
Olyvia / Michelle / Annie - Thanks hon! It just tickled me that I reversed the colors :)
Jen - I focus so much on necklaces that I should really branch out to earrings. I think it's because my ears are so sensitive :P
Kileen - Aww, thank you! That's so sweet of you to say :)
Elle - Thank you! Can't wait to make some more feather items!
Monique - Thanks for stopping by and commenting! :)
Aki - They are very soft! I also have some cream colored ones that I still want to play around with for DIY purposes :)
